> Full sample Investor Answer Audit for fictional Acme Inc.: engine scores, every answer, filing-backed errors, cited sources and a ranked fix list.

What ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot told investors about Acme's Q2 2026 results, checked answer by answer against Acme's 8-K and 10-Q.

This investor answer audit sample is a full Investor Answer Audit for fictional Acme Inc., made by MS House, a service that audits AI chatbot answers about a public company's earnings. An Investor Answer Audit is a report that shows what AI engines tell investors about a company, checked against the company's own SEC filings. After Acme's Q2 2026 earnings release, MS House asked ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot a sample of the investor questions our model generated for Acme. MS House then checked every answer against Acme's 8-K earnings exhibit and 10-Q. The report ranks each wrong earnings number by severity and ends with a fix list your team can assign. Acme, its filings and every figure here are fictional.

## How to read this audit

Read the executive summary of this sample Investor Answer Audit first, then the ranked fix list. The rest is evidence your team can hand to General Counsel or the web team.

An Investor Answer Audit has 10 sections. The executive summary, engine scorecard and top issues answer one question: is our quarter being reported correctly? The ranked fix list says who does what. Error evidence, all answers and source trace carry the proof, answer by answer. The last 3 sections cover cited sources, the trend and re-check, and the filing facts behind every verdict. Each error shows the filing quote, so you can check it yourself. A real audit arrives as a private web page within 48 hours of your earnings release.

## How are the verdicts decided?

Each answer gets 1 of 6 verdicts. **Correct** matches the filing. **Outdated** matches an earlier period. **Wrong** is contradicted by the filing. **Partly wrong** mixes right and wrong facts. **No answer** means the engine gave nothing useful. **Not checkable** means the filing cannot confirm the answer, such as investment advice or analyst consensus.

To score an engine in the scorecard, MS House first sets aside every Not checkable answer. The share of the remaining answers marked Correct is that engine's answer accuracy rate. The [methodology page](/methodology/) explains each rule in full.

## How do you fix wrong earnings numbers in AI answers?

You fix wrong earnings numbers in AI answers at their source: the pages and sites the AI engines cite. MS House audits the answers after your earnings release, and your team makes the fixes from the ranked fix list.

1. Read the error evidence. Each wrong answer shows the engine and the quote from your 8-K or 10-Q.
2. Open the source trace to see which pages and sites fed each wrong answer.
3. Assign each item on the ranked fix list to its owner: IR, Growth, AI Search and SEO, or Communications.
4. Use the trend and re-check section to see whether ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot now answer correctly. The Annual Program adds a 14 day re-check after each fix.

## What does each section give your team?

Each of the 10 sections in an Investor Answer Audit maps to one reader and one decision. The table shows who opens each section and what it settles.

| Executive summary | CFO, CEO | Is our quarter being reported correctly? |

## 3. Top issues

1. **Old full year guidance is still in AI answers** (high severity, 5 errors). ChatGPT and Copilot repeat the April range. Copilot says guidance was kept, when it was raised. Google AI Overviews gets revenue right but keeps the old EPS range.
2. **3 engines name the former CFO** (high severity, 3 errors). ChatGPT, Copilot and Google AI Mode name Mark Ellison as CFO, 4 months after Priya Raman took the role.
3. **The dividend increase has not reached AI answers** (high severity, 3 errors). 3 of 4 engines still give the $0.48 dividend. Income investors will see a yield that is too low.
4. **GAAP and adjusted EPS are mixed up** (high severity, 3 errors). Google AI Overviews reports adjusted EPS as EPS. Copilot swaps GAAP and adjusted figures.
5. **Q1 numbers are shown as the latest quarter** (high severity, 6 errors). Copilot and ChatGPT give Q1 revenue, growth and margins as if they were Q2.
6. **Completed deals are described as pending** (medium severity, 4 errors). Engines still describe the Northwind close and the Consumer Tools sale as future events, and one lists the sold unit as a segment.

No. Acme Inc., its executives and every figure in this sample are fictional. They show the format and the kind of errors we find.

### Which sources do AI engines cite about a company?
